The Spotted Dove (Alu Kobeiya)

--

The Spotted Dove is a ‘Very common breeding resident of gardens and cultivations of almost everywhere of the country and dry zone forests while less common in the hill country1’.[1]

A Quick Observation: We always wonder why Spotted Doves are clumsy when it comes to nesting — most of the time building their nests in vulnerable places. Nevertheless, Spotted Doves are quite common and they visit us round the year.

(Seen in May 2021)
